What is a Nursing Ambassador?
The Goldfarb School of Nursing Ambassador Program is the premier student leadership opportunity within the College. Ambassadors support our student body by representing each program of study.
They promote programs/services, participate in campus events and activities, and serve as student representatives that connect with incoming students. Ambassadors assist in many college functions including public relations, admissions/recruiting and student engagement.
Goal of Student Ambassadors
The purpose of this program is to form a group of high-caliber student representatives who are officially designated and supported by the college. Each program of study has representation in the program. Ambassadors will promote GSON programs and services, participate in events and activities and serve as student representatives who link incoming students with the college and support our current student body.
Benefits and Requirements
Benefits of Becoming an Ambassador
A stipend of $500 per term will be paid to ambassadors who meet participation criteria.
Student Ambassador Requirements
- Attend an interest session
- Complete the application process and meet deadlines
- Be currently enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours undergrad / 6 hours graduate)
- Be in good standing with the college
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills
- Demonstrate commitment to meet all participation expectations
- Apply as self-referral or referral from Goldfarb administration, faculty or staff
- Attend training session(s) during the term
- At least two students will represent each program of study
