Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning 
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate coursework 
• Active RN license in good standing 
• Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or graduate statistics course recommended 
• 1 year recent experience as an RN (ICU or emergency medicine required for intensivist track) 
• Current ACLS provider status -Official transcripts from all institutions where credit was earned 
• Two letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant's academic and clinical potential 
• Personal statement that addresses desired area of specialization, personal attributes that will contribute to successful accomplishments of the program and career goals 
• CV or resume

Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGAPNP)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate coursework
• Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or graduate statistics course
• Active RN license in good standing
• 1 year of full-time equivalent RN experience in a hospital, out-patient clinic, or other approved health care setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider status

Nurse Educator

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited institution of higher education.  Post-MSN students require a Master of Science in Nursing degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. 
• Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and undergraduate coursework
• Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate statistics course
• Current CV or resume
• Current, unencumbered licensure RN license in the United States
• An email with additional information regarding compliance requirements will be sent prior to start date

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia Program

• Baccalaureate or Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university (NLNAC or CCNE)
• Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and graduate coursework
• Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework
• Two letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant’s academic and clinical potential
• Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
• Current unencumbered, unrestricted Missouri licensure as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license and in good standing. 
• Prerequisites (undergraduate or graduate, 3 credit hours each and satisfactory grade)
  1. Physics (algebra-based)
  2. Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry
  3. Undergraduate or Graduate Statistics
  4. Anatomy and Physiology (most likely taken in undergraduate nursing) 
• A personal statement addressing why you want to become a CRNA
• A minimum of one year of recent critical care nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting in the United States, its territories, or a U.S. military hospital outside of the U.S.
  • Highest priority is given to those who have the most recent work history in a high acuity ICU setting where the applicant is likely to have a broad base of invasive hemodynamic monitoring experience, vasoactive drug administration, and experience monitoring patients on ventilators and adjusting settings. Applicants who work in post-anesthesia care units or emergency rooms will be considered only if the candidate can demonstrate that he/she routinely cares for patients with ventilators, invasive monitors, and vasoactive infusions.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification throughout enrollment; PALS before beginning clinical activities and throughout enrollment
• If selected, an on-site interview by the Nurse Anesthesia Admissions Committee
• If an applicant has previously been enrolled in a nurse anesthesia program, he/she can apply; however, no anesthesia-specific courses will be transferrable
• Advanced Standing/Transfer Credit: Doctoral-level courses may be accepted for transfer only if approved by the Program Director and Faculty member. A maximum of (9) credits may be accepted for transfer and only those with an A or B may be transferred.  
• International applicants should check with the Admissions Department for further instructions on admission requirements
• If accepted, there will be a $1000 non-refundable enrollment deposit for the CRNA program. This deposit amount is only for our CRNA program and is due to the competitive nature of this program. 

Nursing Health Systems Nurse Executive Leadership

• BSN from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
• Transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended
• Cumulative GPA from undergraduate work 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Unencumbered/unrestricted RN License to practice in Missouri
• Two Professional references from individuals who can address academic skills including oral and written communication skills and clinical competence
• Current CV or Resume
• A personal statement of personal attributes and experiences that will help you be successful in this program.

DNP Post - MSN

• MSN and APRN certification as either an NP, CNM, CNS or CRNA 
• Completion of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited institution 
• One transcript from each post-secondary institution attended. 
• Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 cumulative GPA for graduate work is required 
• An unencumbered Registered Nurse license 
• An APRN licensure in your home state, if required 
• APRN national board certification as a CNS, NP, CNM or CRNA in your area of specialty as appropriate. Applicants without national certification will be individually evaluated. 
• Strong professional references from two (2) persons who can address academic skills including oral and written communication or clinical competence 
• An essay, one to two pages, of an example of a frequent occurrence in clinical practice that the applicant would like to see improved.

Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD)*

Due to limited cohort sizes for some MSN concentrations, transferring between concentrations will be considered strictly on a space available and case-by-case basis. Students may find themselves on a waiting list or have a delayed start to the specialty concentration courses. Note: All course grades will be included in the cumulative GPA calculation. The Admissions Department may provide 10-year forgiveness for cumulative GPA calculation. The student must submit a petition for the forgiveness of prior grades to the Admissions Department. This letter will be placed in the student’s file. The GPA will then be appropriately calculated.
