Gretchen Drinkard, PhD, RN, was recently named interim dean for the Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing. ST. LOUIS – Gretchen Drinkard, PhD, RN, was recently named interim dean for the Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing as a national search takes place to replace Michael Bleich, PhD, RN, FAAN who left the college at the end of May.
Drinkard currently serves as the Jack Taylor Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and doctorate of nursing practice program director. Prior to that, Drinkard was associate dean for graduate programs at Goldfarb.
As a nurse educator, Drinkard has more than 35 years of teaching experience, with faculty positions held at University of Texas-Arlington, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Maryville University and Southwest Missouri State University.
In the interim dean role, Drinkard will work closely with Jean Davis, PhD, RN, Paul J. McKee Senior Associate Dean for Research and PhD program director, along with the rest of the Goldfarb leadership team to advance the school’s mission.
