On Saturday, April 21, 2018, Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing hosted its 25th and 50th reunions for the 1993 and 1968 graduating classes. The Barnes-Jewish College Alumni Association holds this special event annually; this year’s reunions took place in conjunction with the college’s spring commencement ceremony.
Goldfarb puts a high priority on alumni relations and the college’s Alumni Association takes great pride in planning these reunions. The events create a tremendous opportunity for alumni to reconnect, reminisce and recall the steps they took to achieve accomplished careers in nursing. The reunions also serve as the perfect platform to recognize alumni’s contributions to the school and to the nursing profession.
During the spring commencement ceremony, members of both reunion classes were seated together and recognized as Goldfarb’s special guests. Following commencement, the alumni returned to the college for the annual medallion ceremony and luncheon. Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN, BC, FAAN, president of Barnes-Jewish College and dean of Goldfarb School of Nursing, was the keynote speaker. As a culmination of the event, alums received a medallion featuring the college seal on the front and their graduation year on the back.
