September 13-19 is National Housekeeping Week. And although we take this time to send a special thank you to Goldfarb’s housekeeping professionals, our gratitude for all they do is enduring.
Goldfarb relies on the housekeeping team to help manage the integrity and cleanliness of the College. Now more than ever before, we also call on housekeeping to help ensure our community’s safety. This unparalleled time in recent history has emphasized the evolution in housekeeping staff’s responsibilities, purpose and even risk. Still, every day they work to make a difference.
Djuan Coleman, Vice Dean of Finance and Administration, recalled Goldfarb’s professional cleaning staff’s vital role in the success of our reopening for the Summer and Fall terms:
“To help prevent the spread of COVID among our returning students, faculty and staff, we adjusted normal cleaning schedules. They clean and sanitize significantly more often–after nearly every encounter at the College.”
In many ways, Goldfarb’s housekeeping team is among our unsung heroes.
“On behalf of Goldfarb’s leadership, thank you for your continued contributions and commitment to safeguarding our work environment. Your continued support and attention to detail significantly impact our success. We appreciate you –you make a difference!” (Coleman)
We would like to thank our a unsung heroes, Zelma Kerr and Michael Davis.
