Concentration Overview

Goldfarb offers a post-master's certificate in Nurse Educator for master's-prepared nurses who would like to begin or improve their teaching careers. The program prepares students to expand upon roles in a variety of settings by integrating prior learning with advanced discipline-specific coursework and clinical experiences. Students become skilled educators with competencies in patient education, staff development and academic education.

Concentration Highlights

Our Nurse Educator Concentration program has many benefits for students, no matter where you are in the country.

Convenient Online Classes

There’s no need to travel to campus to complete your studies. All of your courses and communication will be online and even orientation can happen virtually.

Full or Part-Time Schedule

Advance your career while you’re still working. Part-time studies could be completed in 12 months.

Personalized Practicum Experience

The final term includes active teaching and learning experiences in both the academic and clinical nursing areas. You’ll have the support and guidance of a mentor who is a master’s (or higher) prepared nurse educator in a pre-licensure nursing program.

Diverse Career Potential

Share your knowledge by teaching students in an academic setting, as well as working with patients and practicing nurses in clinical settings like hospitals and community healthcare agencies.

Prepare for Excellence

Students who complete the certificate are eligible to sit for National League for Nursing’s (NLN) Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) exam. The Nurse Educator role is recognized by NLN as a specialty area of practice.
