Overview

The Accelerated option is an intensive, one-year program for students who are interested in earning a BSN. Designed for highly motivated students who already have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing — from biochemical engineering to performance arts — this program builds on your previous education and learning experiences.

Option Highlights

Our Accelerated option has many benefits to students, but here are a few of them:

An Accelerated Track to a Nursing Degree

The accelerated nature of the program ensures our students make the transition from education to practice faster. Our fast-paced option is focused on preparing you for a nursing career sooner.

Interdisciplinary Emphasis

Our physical placement on a medical campus offers a number of benefits. We believe nursing education should be integrated alongside other disciplines to understand how they work together as a team to deliver patient care. We emphasize interprofessional simulations across other disciplines. You’ll have the chance to collaborate with your counterparts in medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, social work and other related fields.

Diversity of Experience

We’re proud to offer a diverse curriculum, with core nursing courses focused on adult care, childbearing, pediatrics, mental health and community patient populations. And with students hailing from various disciplines, the unique makeup of your cohort is bound to create a distinctive learning environment.

State-of-the-Art Clinics and Simulation Labs

Clinical simulation is an integral part of our teaching and learning. Our Clinical Simulation Institute provides a safe, supportive learning environment to practice a wide variety of clinical skills with sophisticated technology. This precursor to live clinical rotations offers valuable practice on how to deliver high-quality patient care.
