Nicole Herbel, Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing student, has been chosen as a recipient of the Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship.  “I’m truly honored to receive this scholarship from the Army Nurse Corps Association,” said Herbel. “To be recognized for hard work is amazing.”

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing's Nurse Anesthesia Program, in affiliation with the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis, received continued International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (IFNA) Accreditation in May 2019, valid until May 2024, allowing for the program to transition from a MSN degree program to a DNP degree program.  It’s official. Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN, BC, FAAN, president and the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox dean and professor of Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, was named the 2019 St. Louis Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award winner for administration. In addition to Dr. Ridenour, Goldfarb educators Lisa Burnitt, DNP, RN, ANP-BC, assistant professor and director of the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program, and Tamara Otey, PhD, RN, assistant professor, were also nominated.

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing has received an unprecedented gift that will provide a full annual scholarship to an Alton High School student or graduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The gift was made by Nancy Carroll Allen, a 1965 alumna of Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and former staff member of Jewish Hospital, now known as Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
